A weekend for kids who love to build, experiment and get to the bottom of how things work. Technic LEGO, electronics and 3D printing as tools for their own ideas.
A small group (max. 4 kids per instructor) means plenty of space, support and individual attention.
In a small group of up to ten participants we'll dive into programmable circuits, electronics and Technic LEGO. Everyone discovers that with a little creativity and the right tools they can bring their own ideas to life. Our goal is to inspire kids, to show them everything they can create – and that they can manage far more than they think.
The idea for this event came after a Mensa day camp I organised, which got both me and several of the kids hooked on all kinds of tinkering. It was great to see how quickly they threw themselves into their own ideas – and I'd love to offer them and other kids similar opportunities throughout the year too.
What can the kids look forward to?
The programme focuses on electronics, programming and technical experiments.
Concrete activities the kids can try:
- building a fan that switches itself on when the room gets hot
- building remote-controlled coloured lighting
- building a remote-controlled car
- playing with Technic LEGO and puzzling over how its various machines work
- a really interesting talk about electric circuits and the basics of programming
- a NERF battle

Our approach to children
Read this if it's your first time with us – it will help you understand how we think about children and why we do some things differently.
At our events we share with the children our enthusiasm for the things we love, and together we create an inspiring environment. Children can join in whenever they want – we always offer them help, encouragement and room for their own pace and ideas.
But we never force them into anything. We see them as fully-fledged human beings who have the right to decide how they want to spend their time – even if they just want to step aside for a while or rest with a phone or tablet. Our priority is that they feel good and enjoy what they do, not that they live up to adults' expectations.
We're happy to talk with parents about how our environment can be as beneficial as possible for their children. At the same time, we respect that taking part in activities is always the child's free choice – and even the times they choose not to take part can be an important part of their learning and self-discovery.
If it were important to you that your child takes part in activities at any cost, our events probably won't be a good fit for you. We give priority to respect and voluntariness over pressure and obligation.
