A weekend for kids who love to think, to ask “why?” and to discover how the world around us works.
They can look forward to hands-on science experiments, playful explanations of how things connect, and a healthy dose of movement in the form of NERF battles.
A small group (max. 4 kids per instructor) means plenty of space, support and truly individual attention.
Who is our weekend for?
The Young Inventors' Weekend is for kids who get a spark in their eyes when they can build, invent and get to the bottom of how things work. For kids who are often bored – not because they lack energy, but because they don't have enough space to use it meaningfully.
With us, kids dive into their own ideas, create alongside like-minded kids, and experience that moment:
„I built this myself – and it works.“
It's exactly this moment that builds healthy pride and confidence in their own ability to create and think – and that's what the kids take home with them.
This experience doesn't happen by chance…
It happens because we give kids exactly what they need for real creating:
- Meaningful parts and building sets that aren't „just LEGO“. Technic LEGO is our foundation, but we carefully select and combine parts, use clever tricks, and sometimes modify components so kids can build things that normally can't be built.
- Enthusiastic instructors who love to create themselves. They help, ask questions, suggest paths when something gets stuck, and delight in every „aha moment“.
- A small group and strong individual attention. Thanks to a great kid-to-instructor ratio (max 4 kids/instructor), everyone has the space to be seen, heard and supported – and collaboration between kids arises naturally too.
- A programme that adapts to the kids, not the other way around.
If a kid wants to spend the whole day on one project, they can. If they want to sample a bit of everything, we make room for that. We watch what each kid enjoys and where they want to go next.
It's not about what the kids already know. What matters is the desire to try, think and discover.
What's in store for them?
The main focus is building with Technic LEGO, complemented by workshops on 3D printing, programming microcontrollers and simple electronics – as well as NERF battles and active games to give the brain a rest.
Concrete activities:
- Building a remote-controlled car to tackle specific challenges (races, sumo against the leaders' car, hauling bricks from A to B…)
- Building a light show controlled from an Arduino with the help of AI
- The basics of Arduino programming
- A workshop on building electric circuits
- A 3D printing workshop
- A NERF battle
At past events there were kids who spent the whole weekend building and improving their car – sometimes coming up with as many as 15 different versions. And there were kids who wanted to try a bit of everything: LEGO, 3D printing, Arduino, electric circuits.
We plan for different interests and paces. Thanks to the small number of kids per instructor, we can create each child their own adventure.

Our approach to children
Read this if it's your first time with us – it will help you understand how we think about children and why we do some things differently.
At our events we share with the children our enthusiasm for the things we love, and together we create an inspiring environment. Children can join in whenever they want – we always offer them help, encouragement and room for their own pace and ideas.
But we never force them into anything. We see them as fully-fledged human beings who have the right to decide how they want to spend their time – even if they just want to step aside for a while or rest with a phone or tablet. Our priority is that they feel good and enjoy what they do, not that they live up to adults' expectations.
We're happy to talk with parents about how our environment can be as beneficial as possible for their children. At the same time, we respect that taking part in activities is always the child's free choice – and even the times they choose not to take part can be an important part of their learning and self-discovery.
If it were important to you that your child takes part in activities at any cost, our events probably won't be a good fit for you. We give priority to respect and voluntariness over pressure and obligation.
